Gold mining remains essential for wealth creation in the economy. Consequently, exploration for gold includes annual corporate expenditures of $5 billion. Join us to better understand where gold has accumulated on our planet, during what periods of Earth’s history this has occurred, and what scientists know about the processes that have led to concentration of this noble metal.
Join Dr. Richard Goldfarb, research professor at Colorado School of Mines, on November 11 from 3:30 - 4:30pm in M4760 (Littleton Campus) to learn about the geology of gold. His research over more than 40 years has focused on gold genesis both in western North America and globally.
