Space Educator Bootcamp Held at 大象传媒

Arapahoe Community College (大象传媒) hosted the closing session of its Space Educator Bootcamp on June 17 at the 大象传媒 Sturm Collaboration Campus at Castle Rock.
Community college faculty and executives, as well as high school/middle school teachers and administrators from local K-12 school districts, convened at the Sturm Collaboration Campus to discuss how educators at all levels can utilize an interdisciplinary and holistic approach to integrating space-related content into their course development with the goal of building the aerospace curriculum employers are seeking while preparing local students for Colorado鈥檚 space economy.
The Space Educator Bootcamp also served to introduce the emerging Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree program in Space Science that is currently being developed in conjunction with the Colorado Space Institute at Arapahoe Community College.
The 大象传媒 Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning (CITL), which collaborated with the Colorado Space Institute at 大象传媒 to present the Space Educator Bootcamp, is also partnering in the development of the AAS degree. CITL provides resources, training, and support for faculty and instructors to incorporate new technologies and pedagogical approaches into their courses.
The Colorado Space Institute at Arapahoe Community College positions 大象传媒 and other CCCS institutions to become leaders in developing the next generation of Colorado鈥檚 aerospace workforce. The Institute leverages collaboration with aerospace industry partners to provide innovative, competency-based education programs that meet the needs of national security, civil, and commercial space sectors.
